About Fast Ditch

Since 1997, FastDitch Inc. has been developing technological solutions to serious water management challenges in the Southwestern United States. Today, FastDitch's technologies are helping communities, companies and individuals move water to areas where it's needed most — at lower costs than traditional methods.

Based in Vallecitos, N.M., FastDitch was founded by a family of experienced engineers and farmers who recognized a pressing need for a better irrigation-ditch liner. Too much water seeps through decaying ditches, and repair costs can be prohibitive with standard materials like concrete and PVC. Any solution would have to be rugged to tolerate harsh weather; lightweight and flexible for easy installation; and cost-effective to fit budgets.

FastDitch licensed Penda Corporation, a manufacturer with deep expertise in thermoformed plastics, to manufacture and market the answer:  SmartDitch.  SmartDitch is a thermoformed plastic ditch-lining system that’s stronger, easier to install and more economical than yesterday’s water management materials.
